I love all things flower walls and fairy lights. If I walk into a room and there is flowers with fairy lights intertwined between them, just know that I will probably be very happy settling myself there.

Which is what happened when I was invited to go down to the restaurant Megan’s. Believe it or not, I had never heard of this restaurant before, but am very glad I know about it now. And I am wondering, how? How did I not know about this beautiful place?

Well, if like me, you hadn’t heard of Megan’s until now, then you need to stick around because I’m going to show you a whole lot of gorgeousness in the next few minutes. Read along and I’ll tell you a little bit about it.

There are two Megan’s restaurants, one is in Fulham and the other is in Parson’s Green. I chose to head down to the Fulham branch. And my first impressions were, pictures do this place no justice!

As I walked into the restaurant with my sister, we were instantly greeted by one of the waiters, then given our seats. The waiter then returned and asked if we would like to be seated downstairs. We both agreed as we wanted to see more of the restaurant.

Megan’s restaurant has different floors. When we first walked in, there were a few seats inside split into different sections. What I loved was that every corner you turn into there is either seating or decorations. It was so  wonderful to see the space had been really utilised and well thought out in the way it was decorated.

So we were taken downstairs. Now, this is something we weren’t quite prepared for. I was just getting used to how beautiful the decorations upstairs were, but downstairs was on a whole ‘nother level.

I could just see the lights as I walked down the stairs which were like a magnet pulling me towards them.

There were fairy lights within flower walls. Fairy lights hanging across all of the walls, different types of them. But they didn’t look cheesy or too bright instead they created a vibe. You know when you walk into a place and you can feel the atmosphere change. And you can tell that the place was created to make you feel a particular way as soon as you walked in. I don’t even know what it’s called, but I felt it, and I liked it.

As we walked into the garden of the restaurant, we could see how decorated the whole place was. I just kept thinking of how picture worthy it all was! We chose to sit near a wall with faux flowers and fairy lights going down it. And we made ourselves comfortable.

Now, the food. We headed straight for the brunch menu. I ordered the Kale Green Juice with kale, cucumber, apple, mint and lemon. And for my meal, I chose the Royale which was smoked salmon with poached eggs and hollandaise. The waitress said there was an option of having spinach on the side and which I said yes to.

I’m not much of a green juice kind of girl, but the Kale Greens was really tasty, it didn’t taste too green-like (if you know what I mean). And it had the perfect amount of sweetness to it. My meal was really nice, I added salt on top which probably was a bad idea as I should have remembered how salty smoked salmon can taste. Despite that, it did taste good.

My sister ordered the Veggie Brunch which was a great combination of flavours. It  was very big and quite filling. The mushrooms and halloumi were delicious. The halloumi tasted great as it wasn’t too salty.

And as a drink she chose Omega Avocado which had coconut milk, avocado, apple juice and omega seeds. I of course had a taste of her smoothie and it had a very nutty taste to it. You couldn’t really taste the apple. But if you’re into nutty tasting smoothies, you’ll love this one.

Cappucino, tea and desserts. I ordered the cappuccino while my sister headed for the herbal tea. The herbal tea had green, Moroccan mint, chai, fruit punch and came in a tea pot. It tasted really good and we thought it was definitely worth it as it filled two and a half cups of tea.

Next up, my favourite part, desserts! For desserts, we ordered the half baked cookie dough with nutella, pistachios and salted caramel ice cream. I LOVED this dessert and because it was quite big, we shared it. The nutella was underneath the ice cream in the middle. The whole thing was just made to perfection.

The second dessert we got was the sticky toffee pudding also with ice cream. I’m not going to lie, just the sticky toffee with the ice cream tasted amazing! And because we had both of the desserts together it was pretty filling.

Overall, I really liked the whole experience of the restaurant. The service was great, everyone was very friendly and the food was all worth it. Check out Megan’s restaurant menu > here to see more of their menus and services.
